I Know Who I Am
This powerful message centers on one of the most fundamental questions we can ask ourselves: Do we truly know who we are? Drawing from Exodus 3:13-14 where God reveals Himself to Moses as 'I AM THAT I AM,' we're reminded that our identity isn't something we assume or construct—it's revealed to us by God Himself.
The sermon walks us through four transformative truths: identity is revealed not assumed, identity is affirmed in pressure, identity is questioned by others, and identity must be lived daily. We learn that before Jesus performed any miracles or drew any crowds, He first declared His identity from Scripture in Luke 4:18. This teaches us that identity produces results, not the other way around. We don't need proof when we have identity. The enemy will constantly challenge us with 'if you be' statements, trying to make us prove ourselves, but when we're secure in whose we are, we know who we are.
The call to action is clear: when in doubt, shout it out—'I know who I am.' This isn't arrogance; it's confidence rooted in being God's chosen, called, anointed, and equipped people. We're challenged to stop seeking validation from others and to stop letting our past define our future. By the grace of God, we are what we are.
